In the spirit of throwing the old and shedding Christmas tree out to the curb following the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we wrap up the twelve blogs of Christmas with a special new-year's edition.

Koreans love to celebrate so it is no surprise that Christmas has become so popular (especially the lead up to Christmas). While traditionally Koreans have celebrated the Lunar New Year, more recently the tradition has been to have a double dose of New Year's excitement celebrating the ringing in of the new calendar year as well. The parties in Seoul last well into the morning with grand fireworks displays and big name Korean musical acts.

The fireworks display reflected in the Han River on New Year's eve. We weren't there, but we caught the important bits on TV.

Our New Year's was much less exciting. With the promise of two days off, we took full advantage of the chance to get rid of our lingering colds that plagued us the week before. With a full supply of food and beverages we sat around watching movies and reading for 48 hours.

We hope that you have enjoyed reading our Twelve Blogs during this Christmas season, we have received many reports from people back home who have reciprocated by sharing their Holiday experiences with us.

We're not exactly sure about how long out time in Korea will last, our plan has us here for at least another year, but at a time like Christmas it is really tough being away from our loved ones.

So whatever 2007 holds, have a happy new year and we hope so see all of those of you who read our website sometime soon.

Here we come a-wassailing
Among the leaves so green,
Here we come a-wand'ring
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.

We are not daily beggers
That beg from door to door,
But we are neighbors' children
Whom you have seen before
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.

Good master and good mistress,
As you sit beside the fire,
Pray think of us poor children
Who wander in the mire.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.

God bless the master of this house,
Likewise the mistress too;
And all the little children
That round the table go.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail, too,
And God bless you, and send you
A Happy New Year,
And God send you a Happy New Year.
