Beautiful Boracay

Did we mention how relaxed we feel here on our secluded little bay on the island of Boracay?

Dare we compare? The busy White Beach vs. our secluded bay

After a couple days at the Paradise Bay Resort we feel confident that we could recommend this place to anyone in search of a relaxing week.

Like aunts and uncles we love making a visit to the busy white beach to one of the many restaurants or shops, but also like an aunt or an uncle we are glad to go home to our own place.

Our favourite time of day to go over to the White Beach is in the evening right around sunset. All the resorts on the beach bring out their tables, chairs candles and torches and set up grand buffet suppers all featuring fresh local food. Jill has been particularly happy with the food selections whether it be a Mongolian Grill, a Greek or Spanish or Italian restaurant – the choices here are a little better than the all meat diet back in Korea.

One thing Chris and Nick really love is the TV here on the Island, they have a good 78 channels and most of which are in English – including an NBATV channel – so we woke up early nearly every morning to watch the NBA playoffs. The girls have satisfied themselves with reruns of Oprah and America’s Next Top Model.

Between rubix cubes and Sudoku we have plenty of stuff to also keep us occupied in our relaxing beach chairs as well.

As you can tell there is nothing remarkable nor groundbreaking to report from the Philippines, just the way we like it.

Mabuhay!
